MEET THE TEAM

MEET THE DIRECTOR

Hi, my name is Tash and I am the Centre Director of Little World for Scholars. I have been in the childcare industry for 21 years and have an aim to be able to make a difference in children’s lives by providing Quality Education and Care to children of all ages. Seeing children learn and grow to their full potential and being a part of that is an amazing feeling. Forming long lasting relationships and bonds with children and families that can last way beyond a child’s time in care. The excitement on their faces, The smiles, The never ending questions and a Child’s thirst for knowledge and understanding. Helping children to develop their Social and Emotional skills that will last them a lifetime. The difference that Early Childhood Education can make in a Child’s Development and knowing that I have the honour of playing a part in Educating our future leaders. I have children of my own and I want nothing but the best for them and therefore want to provide the best care possible for all children here at Little World for Scholars. Our centre is a Warm and Welcoming environment where the children and families are encouraged to become active participants in all aspects of care for their children. We support and listen to our families right from the moment they walk through our door and are always here to help in any way that we can. We provide our children with the opportunity to explore and learn at their own pace and engage in learning experiences of interest while Educators scaffold their play and use these as teachable moments. Educators strive to help our children be strong, independent, and confident individuals by the time they leave our care. All Children are respected and Educators here at Little World for Scholars celebrate each child’s Individuality.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Little World for Scholars we endeavour to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop. Positive and respectful relationships with children and their families are crucial to the quality, inclusive implementation of the educational program at Little World for Scholars. Educators acknowledge that every family and child is unique and that it is through a positive partnership with parents/carers that their child’s needs are met in our Early Childhood setting.

Our educational program reflects the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia Belonging, Being and Becoming as well as a play-based approach to learning. It is based on the view that children are capable beings, who learn best when their interests and voices form the basis of the educational program.

Educators endeavour to actively promote and embed healthy lifestyles, sustainable practices and cultural awareness at Little World for Scholars through respectful communication, intentional teaching and role modelling.

Educators at Little World for Scholars are committed to ensuring that policies and educational practices reflect current research and best practice. This is maintained through regular engagement with professional development opportunities, regular staff meetings and reflective practices.
